Welcome to Bismuth Welsh Cobs!
Welsh Section D ponies bred for type and temperament!
Welcome to Bismuth Welsh Cobs! A small stud in beautiful Lancashire that breeds Welsh section D ponies!
It all started after myself (Rhianna) decided that after years of riding/competing native ponies that I wanted to be able to contribute back to the breed I totally loved and had fallen head over heels for! So there it began. It didn’t happen as quickly as I would of liked after being meticulous about the type of ponies I’d like to breed but I finally found my broodmare to start my small stud and compliment my then young colt.
What is going on?!
Stud
At Bismuth Welsh Cobs we do not just breed our own Welsh cobs we can offer stud packages so you can breed your own!
We take in visiting mares for natural covering both alone and with foal at foot with full care to suit each individual. We also can offer AI to those who are further away so it saves the stress of travelling mares.
Our stallion Thorneynewside Master Joe stands at stud with us and is open to visitors all year round so you can meet him in person not just judge from a stud catalogue.
Our stock
We do not breed many foals each year however our aim is to not only bring you a fantastic quality Welsh cob but one that has some life experience too!
When purchasing from us know your foal will be well handled and socialised whether it be with other horses, dogs, children and will have seen basic machinery too. They come leading, lifting feet, ground manners and halter trained too. We want you to be able to enjoy your foal not wrestle it round the stable! So please know we like to bring them to you with enough experience that nothing is too much drama for both yourself and them!
We have stock available so please do not hesitate to get in touch!
All foals require a deposit to secure and deposits are none refundable.
